Sausage Casing

For the last several months I have been grinding up my own sausage to make fatties. Now I would like to start stuffing my own sausages. My 2 year old daughter doesn't like patties, she will only eat links.
When I've priced sausage casings on the internet, they seem to be more expensive than I thought they would be. Does anyone know what is the cheapest way to purchase them. I'm interested in making breakfast links, brat, metts and summer sausage.
Thanks for any responses.

i get mine from the butcher shop, but some supermarkets have them out back, ask the guy behind the counter. last time i asked for some at the butcher shop near me he charged me a buck for about a hundred feet, i go there often so i dont know what its really worthfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Thats the price I expected. I'll have to check with my local butcher. Problem is I generally only get steaks from him. Pork butts are so much cheaper at the big chains when on sale.
How many pounds of meat can you stuff in 100 feet? -
i have no idea, ive only stuffed once, and it was with a KA, too slow a process for me, i mostly just make the sausage in bulk for recipes, fatties, patties.fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

I've been grinding with my kitchenaid too. It does take time, but I don't want to spend money on a big grinder. Once I perfect a brat and a mett I might.

the KA is fine for what i do for grinding, 1 or 2 butts max, but for stuffing it doesnt work too fast, definatly a two person jobfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

I just purchased the sausage attachments. Maybe I'll return them and buy a manual stuffer
