why does the forum resize all 1024 and 800 pixel images to 620 pixels when viewing in un-wide view? why doesn't the forum display 1024 pixel images in wide view?

seems to me a lot of people enjoy viewing photos on this site and the way the forum changes them and does not display them is causing problems. i post all my images at 800x600 pixels and do not want the forum to change the display size to 620 pixels because they do not look as good.

perhaps the image posting rules and size limitations can be posted in a prominent place so people don't have to guess and experiment so much?

why have wide and un-wide views anyway?

i'm afraid i'm going to have to stop posting photos on here if the forum keeps resizing them.

or everyone could switch to wide view and view my photos they way they are intended to be viewed and the non-wide view option is deleted! :woohoo:
