Anybody ever made Gryro Meat on BGE? Need Receipe/info.

tcw1018,[p]Here's a recipe I have made a few times on my ceramic cooker:[p]Gyros[p]12 Servings[p]1 1/4 pounds lean ground beef
1 1/4 pounds lean ground lamb
1/4 cup oregano
1 1/2 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoons freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon thyme
3/4 teaspoon salt
Yogurt Sauce:
1 cup low-fat yogurt
1/4 cup chopped cucumber, mashed and added with juice
2 teaspoons olive oil
garlic powder, salt and fresh ground white pepper[p]Preheat broiler or barbecue; cook in thin patties or as a meatloaf in oven. If cooked as a meatloaf, let cook and slice thin. Reheat thin slices. Serve on pita bread. Garnish with sliced onion, lettuce and tomato. Top with yogurt sauce. [p][p]

tcw1018:[p]A boneless lamb leg cooked to medium and thin sliced with some tzadziki sauce does the trick for a traditional gryro. Really helps to have a slicer or good slicing knife.
