You were close! It's Sitka, which is frighteningly close to Stike (in spelling only).

It is reallllly windy again today - you can probably see the wind moving along the top of the water. That is in the channel, which is protected on both sides so its not getting the full wind gusts that most other places are. Supposedly it's 45-50mph gusts, but my garbage can hasn't blown away yet, so I don't buy it. B)

That's pretty darn windy. Just checked Sitka's weather and the temp doesn't look like it will fluctuate much around freezing this week. Is that normal for this time of year? Minus the snow, your weather isn't much different from our weather for this time of year.... just curious. Right now it's 38 and raining.

    Hope you are well!

    Hiya John!
38 & raining sounds about right for us too. One thing I know from living here my whole life is to never trust the weather forecast. For one thing, we often get Juneau's weather report instead of ours, or they will lump all of Baranof Island into one forecast, and that can be way off depending on where you are.
A pretty good guess for any day around here is precipitation in one form or another. B)

Water is good! Think of all the folks who have to deal with drought conditions year after year.... I feel pretty lucky... Here's to living in our own bit of wet, green paradise!
