Yesterday I attended the first Great Lakes BBQ Association(GLBBQA)first event. It was a BBQ 101 class held at BONE DADDY's Restaurant in Midland MI. It was instructed bt Bill "Billy Bones" Wall. I don't know about Billy, but you can find out more at his website at billybonesbbq.com

I was an informal "Chat" kind of class. Billy gave insight on his successes and failures. He told us about some meat selection, wood choices, and seasoning selection. It was great to sit down and listen to a guy that has forgotten more that I will know.

There was some great conversations. I heard on guy trying to remember the name of a spice/rub company that makes that really fresh rub. You know, from out east some where...damn what's the name. At this point I am listening really hard, thinking I am going to find a new "SECRET." Then it hits him DIZZY PIG!!! Thats it. Great company. They have a team in canada too!!! Nice guy! Freshest stuff you can buy.

I think great! Natureboy is getting some great attention and I already have that stuff.

Over all it was a great class so I thought I would share.
