gdenby explained to me in a earler post that the grill extender will not work with platseter inverted on top of regular grid. They are the same size. I want to have the platesetter inverted with a small iron skillet of beans setting on top of it and a few small rocks to create air space between setter and skillet/ stock EGG rack on top of platesetter legs with a rack of dry St louis ribs (I'm sure cut up into smaller chunks) and on top of that a home made grill extender with brined chicken quarters. Shoved into any empty space will be beef short ribs. Yea I know industrous cook! OK gdenby said he had a 9 inch grid riged up for his. Did some quick measuring from the lip of Egg dome and came up into it 3 1/2 inches and marked at 180 degree angle and measured across. A good 14 inches across so to my thanking a 12 inch rack should clear 1 inch on both sides. I realize the food will be on top of rack and dome will be closing in which could cause problems. Does any one have any suggestions with what I can get away with? gdeny did you try a 10 or 12 incher or just get the 9 incher and go with it? Got to get the dog yearly shot and will check back soon. Thanks

Ok hear is my set up for tomorrow night. This is a 13 3/4 inch grid off my old weber grill. You can see the space between grill edge and dome in the second pic. All this is setting on inverted plate setter. The grid for the small Egg is 13 inches and cermanic so should work better but this will work for tomorrow. I thank a 12 inch grid would be perfect.
