WMK: I still cannot update my profile

I have tried and tried to update my profile. I cannot because each time I get a nag box that says that my email address already exists. I have posed this question 3 or 4 times but still have no response. How do I get this resolved?

You can try changing the email address on the old forum and then try to get the email response from the new one.

I think that the problem is that I registered a long time ago when they first put the forum up. I could not log in b/c I never confirmed my email address. I asked WMK to send me a confirm message so that I could confirm my account. Instead, I think that he created another account for me so now there are 2 accounts with my email address on the Mambo forum. This is just a guess because he does not respond to my emails or posts. I know he is busy.

Kind of. I responded to a post by Fishlessman who is having the exact same problem. Maybe I should post my own thread there too and not just respond to Fishlessman's.

Sorry I missed you. I responded to about 60 login problems last night alone. I guess yours wasn't in the "can't login at the left" post over in the "Forum Feedback" section (click on the "whining Stevie" :-)).

Yes, you have two profiles both using the same email address. The only way to do that is to create them from the "other side" because the new forum will not permit using an already registered email address, but the wormhole doesn't check this.

Apparently, you used to be called "eggophyte". Do you remember that name?

I've disabled the old profile and modified the email address to something invalid. When we have time, we'll merge the two userids so that all of your posts will be counted under "ab ovo".

See if you can update your profile now. Let me know how it goes.
