New Stainless Steel Table
Comments
-
Looks good!
i've got a similar stainless setup up, but with 1 solid shelf vs. 2 wire ones. One word of caution is that I left my daisy top on the stainless and it left a nice rust ring, which i still haven't completely eliminated. I keep my daisy down on a lower shelf when not in use. -
Thanks for the heads up on the Daisy Wheel. The table came from Sams Club and the company that made it sells the extra shelves cheap. It really pays to get the extra shelf, for storage and really makes it much stronger table.

Nice work, does the block get hot from the heat transfer from the Egg? I use my feet to ensure there is air flow between the egg and the stone.

That is a great looking table--where did you get it?
-
That's nice, can wheels/casters be mounted on the legs?
Best,
WA -
Excellent job on the table, Mike. What did you use to cut the top? Is that a large or a medium in there? Why is the turbo grate not installed? Do you just use it for certain types of cooks?
Sorry for all the questions... -
That's sweet. Where did you get it, what are the dimensions and weight capacity?
-
Any problem using your egg inside a Florida room or Spring porch? Can you get it up to searing temp?
-
nice table Happy eggin

How do you cut the hole in the stainless steel?
Brett -
I dunno. I like the stainess factor but that second shelf the egg is sitting on looks a little flimsy. Hows it seem to you?
-
Nice top Mike!

Lot of questions here. I will try to remember to answer them all and if I forget any please let me know.
As for the turbo grate I never got the hang of it, so it just sitting there for now.
Purchess the table at Sam's Club. $118.00
I had the hole cut by my local garage. Coast $40.00
The dimensions are 24" deep, 49" long, 35" high
It does come with wheel coasters aslo.
An extra shelf was only $25.00 dollars extra.
The specs for the weight limit. 500 lbs. per shelf.
The square block does get warm but no worry.
You can't beat it for the price and how strong it is.
Easy to keep clean also.

That's a lot like I have been looking for. I just searched Sam's Club online and could not find that. Not sure if you still have the UPC or anything but if you do can you post it?
Thanks -

Looks like a screened in porch to me, which is what i've got. Nothing but screen about 12 feet above my head when i cook, and never had a problem searing. The flies sitting on the outside of the screen might think there's a problem. -
Mike, that table looks great. Did that rolled SS top come with it? One thing that jumps out at me though...If I were to add wheels to the table, I would purchase some OVERSIZED wheels from Castorcity. The table has got to be top heavy as is, and with the paverstones you have on your patio, the stock castors just might spell disaster. You did a real nice job!

Hey Big the wheels that come with it are fine. I just made the mistake of not haveing the hole cut large enough. So when I had my wheels on it made my table a little to high for me. Beleive me it's a strong enough table for the BGE Large. It will even handle a small on the left side if I wanted to but then I have no work space.
For Buster and anyone else. Sam's Club does not list it on ther web site, so if you have a local Sam's Club near you then go check it out. If they don't have it there, here is where I order the extra shelf for mine and they do have the table you can order on line also.

Good luck and let me know how you make out.

Hi Ross, I like your top I think a little better. I see you got two extra shelfs for yours, one for your top, so you cut the hole in the shelf and then added the wood top. What kind of wood is that and is the wood top one piece.
Nice looking talbe.

Mike,
It was laminated 2x4ft. from Home Depot. It's starting to split a little, the next top well be 1in plywood.
My Best,
Ross -
Thank you sir.
