THICK t-bone cooking times

allright i have a couple 1.5-2 inch thick 2 pounds each tbones...question is how would i cook these? what times and temps?? thanks!...going out to tighten lid bolts now.....

vegas slim,[p]I would sear the first side for 4-5 minutes, then sear the second side a minute or so less, then I'd consider a reasonably long dwell (say 6-8 minutes), possibly flipping back to the first side before that dwell, depending on how each sear seems to have taken. Many use an instant read thermometer, but I can tell doneness by feel. However, you chose to check doneness, assuming the sear came off the way you like, I'd just keep the dwell going until you think it's cooked.[p]--sdb
