Thanks to a post on this forum I was inspired, ordered and received a Nu Remote Thermometer today. Had to test it out so yet another tenderloin was cast upon the coals. The results were of the highest caliber and another cool tool was added to the egg shed.
For a brief photo tour check out the link provided.
I am interest in comments on proper placement of such a tool in something as thin as a pork tenderloin. Where exactly in the probe is the temp being picked up?

I'm not sure on your model but mine picks up the temp in the first half inch of the probe.[p]I trick I learned from Tim M is to wrap the woven probe cord, that is getting exposed to the heat, with a loose layer of foil. Seems loads of people were frying the probe until the extra layer was added... especially at cooks over 300 degrees. I do it everytime now for all cooks.[p]Q on dude.[p]WD
