Well has anyone out there heard about a 2nd PNW Evergreen Eggfest?

  • Viking Eggor,[p]I've wondered the same question. My guess is Yes, after the success of this year's fest. Maybe Dimple's Mom can give us an update later on in the year.[p]Good eggin'

  • Viking Eggor,
Yes, there will be one! We're working on the location. We have two better places in mind, altho we really liked the location for 2007. The other two places we're looking into are very close to 2007's location. It was a good central location with nice amenities close by. The biggest reason we're looking at other spots is that there is a numbers limit at Issaquah State Park, which we could easily go over if this thing grows much. If it weren't for that, we would probably keep the 2007 location as it worked well. My motto has always been "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."[p]Last year we wanted to have the fest the weekend right after Labor Day. We couldn't get the park til the following weekend. For 2008, we hope to secure our location for the weekend following Labor Day weekend, which would be Saturday, 9/6. So save both 9/6 and 9/13, just in case.[p]I actually am getting nervous that we haven't booked the location because here in Washington, we have so few months we can count on the weather being nice, so things book up quickly. So we will probably have our location booked within the next 2-3 weeks.[p]Plans for 2008 are very similar to 2007 except we won't have the long tedious door prize giveaway.[p]What we will continue to have are great people and great food. All our wonderful dealers - Sutter, Thompson's, and Fireside - and our distributor - AES headed up by the fabulous Craig aka Cr-Egg Newby - are still on board. Without them there would be no PNW fest.[p]Gwen
