Rib Roast

Hey Y'all, Publix has a special going on, offering standing rib roasts (bone-in) for $5.99/#, so I bought a 4 pounder (2 rib) this morning and was drooling on the way home as it was soon destined for the EGG. In my haste, I failed to notice that the way it was cut, it was not going to stand upright in a pan, on a grid, or any other horizontal surface. I put my thinking cap on and pulled a vee-rack out of storage. It's of the variety that folds flat and each side raises individually to lock at various angles. Leaving one side down (flat) and the other propped up a notch or two, I was able to stabilize the roast so that it stood up properly on the grill. Just something to keep in mind if you have a roast, or whatever that needs a little support to make it behave for you. Happy Eggin'![p]Rascal
