I just brought home my first egg. It is a small one. I stoked her up and put two rib racks on. I think I did everything OK, but I can't get the temperature over 150. The chimney and flu are both wide open. What am I doing wrong? The ribs are on and I don't have a clue what to do. Help!!!!!!

Bubba,is it full of DRY charcoal?
Is your thermometer probe in contact with the meat?
Is your thermometer correct?
How long did you wait to put the ribs on, I mean did you warm it or light it up and throw on the meat?[p]These things are about the only things that would hamper you from reaching higher temps..[p]Mop

one more thing to look at.
Is the 'notch' at the bottom of the firebox in line with the 'slide vent door'?[p]I provided a pic for you to see how it goes together.[p]Mop
