Having been at this for almost a year now, I'm beginning to notice something. I seem to cook more indirect and use my plate setter frequently. Guess it could be just what I've been cooking but was just wondering if others find the same thing.

  • Shelby,
Me too. The plate setter makes indirect cooking a lot easier. [p]

  • Shelby,[p]For me it's a little of both. I used the plate setter quite a bit just because I could never low/slow well before and can't seem to get enough of it. And part of it's because it's fairly "safe" since you have to go way out of your way to burn something with the setter. Then there's the part about it just happens to be what I cook, or more importantly what I buy. I have a hard time justifing to myself a 1 1/2" thick steak sometimes.....[p]Kelly Keefe
