Winter Success with the Egg!!!

Winter has finally hit hard here in Nebraska. Despite the snow and cold temps, I have been having a great time with my Egg that I got just this last May! On Christmas Eve I did Dave's Double Smoked Ham and New Year's Day I did Mr. Toad's Pork Loin. Both were outstanding. I think I have mastered (or pretty close to it) temperature control for longer cooks. [p]While I did the pork loin, it was snowing and about 12 degrees out. I maintained a nice 300* on the egg and with my digital temp gauge didn't have to even lift the lid until the loin was done. [p]My only 'problem' is that I'm getting requests for holidays and gatherings about supplying the meat! Oh well, this is a problem I can definitely deal with.[p]I really appreciate all the great recipes and tips on this forum.

    Dan.,
Neighbors gather from time to time and outright ask if I'll cook them something. Didn't bring the cole slaw though. Been asked to a couple of shindigs that wanted me to cook butt/ribs...sure if they pay for it. Don't want to seem to be cheap but if, just once, they offered to pay for something it would be easier. Try not to get hooked into that loop on a regular basis.
    Make you feel good though...
