Need fruit salad dressing recipe

A few years ago at a fund raiser a cooking team had the best fruit salad I have ever tasted. The little girl said that the dressing made the salad (an expression I can't put into words) and a grunt. She was right! This stuff was gooood. I asked the chef what was in it and he rattled off a few things, one was some kind of Liquor that I don't recall. It was kinda white. I have watched for fruit salad and the fund raisers for the last couple of years but haven't seen any. I figured I might be able to talk him out of the recipe with a cash contribution. Does anyone have any kind of recipe for something like this? It would be great with my turkey![p]Thanks,

Hi Willy,[p]I've also had fruit salad with a wonderful flavor but didn't have a clue as to what it contained. Since you brought it up I Googled "Fruit Salad Dressing" and got the usual million+ hits. 1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 tsp orange peel, grated
1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 Tbs sugar
3 oz cream cheese, softened and
into cubes
1 dash cayenne pepper



1 Put all of the ingredients into a blender container and blend until smooth.
2 Makes 1 cup.

Years ago I had a girlfriend who made a fruit salad dressing using sherry. Dont remember the rest of the ingredients, but it was good. Sherry, if you don't know, is a sweet wine. Dry Sack is a good one, not expensive.[p]I turned out to prefer a more savory dressing- tamari soy, rice wine vinegar, ginger, sesame oil concoction that I just add and taste till I get it close. [p]Good luck

It was at Westside gun club out past Katy. It was a local team. You might have tasted it around town. I will google it and see what comes up. I have tried it before and nothing looks quite right. Hope to run across them again.

This is what I found using all your hints, what my company calls brainstorming! Guess it really does work. I think this was close to the recipe I was looking for:[p]2 1/4 cups Cool Whip
2 1/4 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese
9/16 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
4 1/2 to 9 tbsp. honey
9/16 cup Grand Marnier
2 1/4 tbsp. orange zest[p]Directions:
Mix all ingredients together using a food processor or a mixer. Store in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
