...the art of cooking is raised to a new level. Not to mention the taste buds having a new experience.![p][p]I have lurked here for about a year. When the wife asked what I wanted for Christmas - BGE, large - please.[p][p]Got the BGE in November - she said I had to wait 'till Christmas to use it. Ignore mode.[p][p]And the wife - and the kids - are glad I did not wait. Such food - ribs, Pulled Pork, two turkeys (got brave and did the Thanksgiving Day bird on it - the neighbors, and family, gave rave reviews!)[p][p]This BGE is the poop - have tried for many years (and many ways) to cook the way I want to - long, low and slow.[p][p]I have found the answer in the BGE - and all the great advice and recipes on this forum. Thanks to all of you - and may your Holidays be the best![p][p]Pork .......RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![p]LVM

    LasVegasMac,
I noticed the same thing...the level of expectation in food, both at home and when dining out, has gone to a new level.
But, there's no need to lurk around here. Visit and cook often!

  • LasVegasMac,hey another vegas egger! welcome to the club!! i purchased mine early may and love it!! of course cooking outside to not heat the house when its 110 outside alos helps but hey its a dry heat enjoy the egg and be sure to use the experts advice on here as often as i do they are AWESOME
  • vegas slim,
Much thanks for the welcome words.[p][p]I have been doing nothing but following the advice here - great to have such a resource![p][p]Ah, yes, the dry heat. Walking out the patio door, it's about 5 steps to the BGE. Another 20 steps to fall in the pool![p][p]LVM

  • LasVegasMac, well my neighbors poll is 1 step short of 100 from me so your set up is much nicer!! i know you will enjoy the egg as it is simply the best cooking device ever!
