Help with Turkey

Unknown
edited November -1 in EggHead Forum
I am a new BGE user (and love it) and my wife has asked me to cook the turkey tomorrow on the BGE. We have it in the brine solution and she does not want it smoked. Can I please have some ideas how to cook it? HELP!!!! I have a roasting rack and drip pan but no turkey holder deal. Thank you. John

John, my kids don't really like smokey turkey either. Mine is brining right now also and I plan on getting the egg to a steady 325/350* then cook the turkey indirect. I'll probly use some firebricks with a drip pan on them, then the turkey in a rack in the pan. Cooking at this temp you will get some smokey flavor, but not much. Cook it for the same times temp as in an oven, about 12~15 min/lb.
