  • dawgfan,
Any masonry supply and most home improvement stores will carry the full size fireplace firebrick, and at this time of year, the half-bricks more common to fireplace inserts and woodstoves are readily available at just about any hardware store.

    dawgfan,
I use the "split" firebricks and I had to get them from a local brickyard..they are cheap..like $.80 each[p]Wess

dawgfan,[p]I looked at the places mentioned and everyone who I asked looked at me like I had two heads. Local brickyards and home improvement stores were worthless here. I found my firebricks at a local chimney sweeper. He had a HUGE selection of them, three different sizes (thicknesses I should say). If the homestores or brickyards dont have them or look at you with their head cocked sidweays, try a chimney shop, at least they SHOULD know what you're looking for. The local shop called them fireplace liners or something like that, not firebricks. So terminology may have something to do with your success in finding them also.[p]Troy

dawgfan,[p]My local Egg dealer is a masonry supply place and I think my bricks cost me something like .50 each.
