Ty K ,
You can attached a BGE "EXtender grid" - it has 2 "legs" that attach on top of your regular grid and then it has hinged sections which allow you to lift them up and access whatever is on the lower level should you put something there. I do chicken on top and potatoes in pan underneath and it rocks.

Ty K ,
Fire bricks, 4 of them, holding up your grate to gasket level or look up TJV.[p]Cheers, Glenn

Ty K ,
This is what a lot of people have done. This is easy and cheap way to extend your grid. Go to this link and scroll down to (Home Brewed Accessories) Number 41 on the page.

Ty K ,
I think I got this from TNW's site.
18" Weber replacement grid, (3) 4.1/2" carriage bolts, nuts and washers. I place mine directly on the regular grid. The nuts fit perfectly between the bars of the grid so it sits on the washers.[p]If you don't have a platesetter, you can put firebricks, pizza stone or a drip pan full of sand or liquid on the lower grate to give you an indirect cook.[p]Oh, and the bolts and washers are black now, but the grid still cleans up pretty good.

Thanks! THis is exactly what I needed.

ClayQ,
Where are those half ring available?[p]Thanks
-
Chxnwing,
I cut the ring in two for easy lifting. Used a masonry disk on a right angle grinder.
