Gonna do Cat's babyback recipe tonight, and I have to share my excitement. The recipe has been fabulous when I have done it with spare ribs, but tonight I am using babybacks, and will follow the cooking instructions of 250 direct in rib rack. In the 70s here in Washington today. Gonna be a killer evening for Qing.[p]Thanks again for that winning recipe Cathy!![p]Hope everyone is having a great Friday, and that your weather is like ours today!![p]NB

Nature Boy,[p]I'm sending you a weeks worth of this weather NB. Supposed to be in the mid 60's all weekend and as far as the forecast could see here in Southern IL. That Q'smoke you smell wafting past is me BGE cooking something utterly wonderful this weekend. Not 100% on what it is/will be yet but its sure to be something.[p]Enjoy the weather.[p]Troy

Nature Boy,[p]Mid to upper 70's for Atlanta area today. The wife is at the store as I speak picking up a 5-6 lb butt for the all night event. Pulled pork on the menu for tomorrow with slaw and fries. I can't wait! I told her to get a bottle of French's Mustard to slather this thing with. I sure hope C~W is on track with that stuff.[p]Yeah Baby....let the good times roll![p]

Bob,
Trust him. He knows of what he speaks. Tried my first butt a couple of weeks ago with mustard and rub and it was GRERRRR... ATE! Like shredding butter. Its amazing how you can go through 6Lb of pork in such a short time.[p]MAC

Bob,
Happy to hear that you can pull your nose out of those papers and stick it right up to the top vent of a smokin egg!! Nice weather to take a break from that nasty work. Good to hear that you are gonna try mustard, it really does help the bark, and actually has most of the base ingredients of a great marinade. As a matter of fact, Cat's babybacks have been marinating since this morning in a mixture that includes mustard seed, vinegar, and sugar (sound familar???)[p]Curious to hear what a previously stubborn mustard avoider thinks of the results!! Have a blast.

sprinter,[p]Yea, don't hand NB and myself that - "I am sending you nice weather stuff". I see the rainy mess your tring to sneak in here Sunday. NO! Keep your old 60 deg - and that rain. Send it tuesday.[p]Tim -- always sunny in Mt Vernon

Tim M,[p]Hey, I only claim to be as accurate as a weather person (notice the nice use of the politically correct non-gender specific word there) can be. I'll do my best to see that we keep the rain away. As we speak though its 75 and sunny, somewhat overcast but overall sunny. (kinda the half full vs. half empty argument no?) I'm not complaining at all, this weather in the late part of February is perfect with me.[p]Troy

Hey Tim,
Maybe we can fire up our eggs at the same time, and create a high pressure system to drive the rain away before sprinter can drive it in here! Supposed to be nice again after that batch of rain though.[p]Cat's Ribs Rule!
