Dec,
Rutland and Ducco both make a good high temp cure. I believe that Hercules is another that has been tried and proven to be good.

JJ,[p]Thanks for the information. I was at Home Depot and they tried to sell me caulking. Not good!
Fire can be seen through the cracks, so I have stopped using the old clay smoker until repairs are made. I do have two ceramics as back up so I am still smokin'.[p]Good Q'n to all,[p]Dec[p][p]

Dec,
I personally, used the Ducco on my clay version. That was 6 years ago and it is still holding up well.

HERCULES HEAT CEMENT is one way to go. As u can see Cornfed's small EGG in the pic is nicley patched up with the product.
This EGG was patched up 2 years ago after it broke into about 5 pieces(not including the firebox) and since then it held tegether at extreme heat temps, and did overnight butt cooks.

Smokin' Todd,
I still remember the day almost 2 years ago that Cornfed reported that terrible parking lot crash with Junior. I think it is an incredible story that you guys are still cooking up a storm on that gem. And lovin the hell out of it!

Nature Boy,
I think that photo-documentary is due to be reposted. It's a classic.

Smokin' Todd,
Your egg with umbrella composition reminds me of the scene from "Vacation" when Chevy Chase et al. put the recently departed Aunt Edna on her family's porch with an umbrella and note.[p]I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's egged w/an umbrella!![p]DSS

Smokin' Todd,[p]Somehow I find that picture both sad and hilarious at the same time.[p]Keep 'em Smokin,
