Plate setter Question
I'm new to this eggin thing and have been doing a few indirect cooks using fire bricks etc.[p]I've scanned just about every site for info and honestly, I'm thinking that the bricks don't give me the "space" from direct heat, nor do they give me the deflection of heat required for these slow cooks.[p]Any experience or guidance? Should I just go ahead, bite the bullet and get the plate setter?

Dut,[p]I'd get a plate setter and keep the bricks too. [p]

Dut,
A lot of Eggor's use just the fire bricks, but I find it is a lot easier to use the plate setter rather than removing the bricks every time you do a cook.I would guess the odds are 80 to 20 per cent in favor of the plate setter.
