TheStormyDog,[p]I have been deer hunting for a lot of years and always process my own meet. One thing to keep in mind is that the meat is very, very lean. Do not over cook it!!! The steaks will be excellent if they are from the tendor or the loin, just season with your favorite and grill like a normal steak. As far as the roast I usually cut mine for stew meat or grind them for jerky. The roast can tend to come out kinda of dry for my taste. Depending on what the roast are you can cut them into steaks.

did a roast yesterday.
as has been mentioned, very, very lean. i rubbed with olive oil, coated with salt and pepper, seared all sides on the egg. in a crock pot, mixed carrots, quartered potatoes, quartered onions, can of cream of mushroom soup, and a pack of liption onion soup mix. added 2 cups of beef broth. put the roast on top, cooked on low about 10 hours. remove roast, add cornstarch/water mix and blend in to thicken. add shredded meat back, heat for a few and serve over rice.
good luck and let me know if you come up with something different as i have a freezer full waiting to be devoured.
