Want to give a "shout out" to everyone for the tips for cookin' a tri-tip! I ended up doing it the "Eggtoberfest 99" way by searing open grill for 4-6 min at 500 on each side and then dropping lid and cooking about 30 min at 350-400... It came out perfectly medium rare![p]I marinated in a mix of
- soy sauce
- toasted sesame oil
- roasted chili oil
- garlic
- juice of 2 limes
- cilantro[p]I cooked some fresh white acre peas from the GA State Farmers Market and made an arugula salad with tomatoes from my garden! A good night for eating![p]Here's the results! [p]On the grill...
[p]Perfection!
[p]What a Plate!
[p]Trader Joe's Fat-Free Fudge Brownies! But I forgot to buy ice cream!!!

GirlyEgg, Sweet. I need to cook another tri-tip. That's all the encouragement I need.
Scott[p]PS-did you add any smoke?
-
Scotty's Inferno,
Oops! I forgot to mention that.... at the end of the searing, I added some soaked "vintage wine barrel" chips before lowering the lid! Enjoy!

GirlyEgg, There ya go! Sounds great.

GirlyEgg,
Send some this way. Your shirts went out today. Had to get them from the Georgia w-house and send back to Ga.
-
HungryMan,
Thanks! Was the amount correct in the email I sent the other day?

GirlyEgg,
That is so gorgeous. I have a tri-tip waiting to go on tonight or tomorrow, and I'm going to use your seasoning.[p]Please tell me exactly how you included multiple pictures within the Comments box with some text before each? I've only mastered putting in one initial photo.

Judy Mayberry,
After downloading off camera, I upload to www.photobucket.com. Once uploaded, you will see several lines of "text" below each picture. The 3rd one down is labeled "HTML Tag". If you copy and paste this tag into the comment section, it will "call" the picture into your text. So basically, I write the statement, then advance to the next line and paste the HTML Tag (if you click on it once in photobucket, you'll notice that it brings up a quick "copied" notation) then advance another line...etc.[p]This should work. The photobucket account is free and I think I just had to use my name and email info to sign up... Good Luck!

GirlyEgg,
Thanks a bunch. I am on Photobucket, so ready to do it--if I could just remember to have my camera handy when I'm Egging!
