I have heard others do this before, so I'm gonna give it a try. Cooking the bird butt style. Any ideas for spices??

    Wardster,
I haven't tried misting the bird as it cooks, but I normally put a small can of apple juice under my chicken sitter when I cook upright.I also normally marinate in GRILL MATE ZESTY HERB and coat with JJ's or ObieQue Sweet-rub.They always turn out GREAT! Good luck. Bob

    Wardster,
It will probably add to the flavor and sweetness of the skin, and possibly help make a slight glaze. Careful that you don't open the dome too much as to get your fire too hot. I would probably just do it a couple of times....and very quickly.[p]I have been using this rub a lot on chicken, and I really enjoy it. If it has not been updated, add 1 tbs of corriander seeds.[p]Some thoughts
