Spin:[p]Despite the intial foul up with the yeast amounts the pizza turned out wonderful! To give you an idea, my wife usually eats the crust and I don't. Tonite we both did.[p]One thing to pass on to my fellow newbies. If you're not used to using pizza peels, have a spatula or long handled fork handy when taking the pizzas off the Egg. I didn't, my pizza headed for the ground, I grabed at it and, well 500° cheese dosn't feel all that good on your fingers. (I should have known but I paniced)[p]Egg now cooling down to 250° for tonights second half - pork butt for tomorrow night.[p]Have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend![p]Peace[p]Kelly Keefe

Kelly Keefe,[p]Done that - been there myself. Even with a peel that can happen if not careful - done that too.[p]Tim[p]
  • Kelly Keefe,
Another helpful pizza hint. If you carry the pizza indoors on a peel, and your route takes through a sliding glass door, make sure the door is open wide enough to allow the peel to pass through without tipping to one side or the other. Hee hee, learned this through a near-experience. If the pizza crust is nice and crusty and you have some cormeal on it, it will slide right off the peel, even with just a little bit of tilt![p]TNW
