New Table/Pork Tenderloin

Unknown
edited November -1 in EggHead Forum
Well last weekend I introduced two friends to this great web site, within minutes they were sold on "The Egg". I offered to build a table when they bought an "Egg". Guess what...yesterday they called, while on their way to BBQ's Galore to make the purchase. Last night I rushed to Lowe's purchased con-heart redwood. The friends called last night while in the middle of their first cook. I offered to give them my table if they would come down the mountain this morning. 9:30 AM they arrived with their pickup...and left with a few receipes and my table. Began assembling another table, my trade mark for out door furniture is making wheels out of redwood. The table is almost completed, I'll have a friend take digital pictures, and will post soon.
With my egg sitting on the pool deck I fired it up and grilled a 4 lb pork tenderloin. Marinated with garlic and onion, placed 6 sprigs of rosemary on top. Indirect at 325 degrees for 75 minutes. Pulled off the grill with internal temp 145 degrees. Wrapped in foil for 10 minutes. Carved in 1/2 inch slices, beautiful smoke ring and absolutely the juicest most flavorfull piece of tenderloin.
It won't be long before we hear from my mountian women friend's as they expierence the culinary delights from the "BGE". Get ready they are a hoot!!

  • West Coast Smokey,[p]We made it home with the nest. Had some Duck Back Wood Oil at home so I gave the table a hand rub down. Got the new family addition in its resting place and went off to our local Fair for the Demolition Derby. Great fun, next year you must join us. Nothing like a bunch of good old country boys and girls driving around in the mud doing their best to disable their friends and neighbors. The winner this year was driving an old Oldsmobile. Toughest old car I ever seen it looked as if it had been through one of those compactors and still running.
Next morning I got up ,went directly out on the deck and just sat admiring that shinny Green Egg looking so at home in it's great wooden nest. We are looking good now just got to get cooking good. Will get back to you when I have some results. I am sure I will get the training I need. Hope to be chatting with everyone soon.[p]Mountain MaMa
