If you are on a cable modem or DSL Internet connection, you may want to check out the link below. It's called ZoneAlarm - I was using BlackIce Defender and have replaced it with ZoneAlarm - best part about ZoneAlarm is that it is free. Watches both incomming and outgoing trafic. I have no affiliation with the product.

    Last I heard, it stopped unauthorized traffic fine, but the price was relatively regular BSOD...[p]Kevin

    McKevin, I don't understand "the price was relatively regular BSOD". I've been running it for two weeks on one machine (NT Workstation) and 2 days on another (NT Server) - no problems that I have found yet - easy to configure once you get the hang of it.
