Got a good taste of this fish about a month ago. It was cooked on an open flame grill. Great. Should be better on the Egg. I just don't know how to do it. Time temps and spices.[p]CWM

Car Wash Mike,[p]Although I couldn't find anything specifically for Mahi Mahi when I searched from Google using "site:biggreenegg.com mahi", I did find some interesting posts you may want to leaf through. Cook times depend on the thickness. Found all sorts of different spices and marinades to use... seems to be more than one way to cook a fish! I'm going to be trying some different recipes this week![p]For these, just copy and paste into the address bar or type it in. The Yahoo! search looked promising also...[p]Yahoo! search for mahi grill marinate

Car Wash Mike,[p]I cooked Mahi Mahi last month on the Egg and it was great. Great fish can only be screwed up by overcooking, all I did was douse with a little olive oil, squeeze some lemmon over then place on the grill. Don't marinade the fish, it will cook itself in lemon juice, if you leave it in the lemon juice too long it will get mushy.[p]I don't remember the exact time, but, just keep an eye on it and don't overcook, 5-7 minutes over a 400 degree should be about right

Car Wash Mike,[p]I spend alot of time in Mexico & down there Mahi Mahi is called Dorado. What a great fish. Billy T & H.J are right, the secret is don't cook it too long it will dry out. I wish I could give you times etc., but I don't have an egg in Cabo. If we saute it, we just flash it on a hot skillit in olive oil for about 2 min. per side. [p]Good luck. Let us know the results.
