I got a couple, figured I'd grill 'em.[p]I'm wondering- is salmon flaky enough so that I should use the fish/veggie grate?[p]and[p]what temp is good for direct grillin'?[p]Tomorrow I'm also cooking bacon wrapped scallops and four thick, bone-in pork chops.
Maybe I'll wok something too. Had chicken thighs with Shakin the tree tonight and they were excellent! set up the cook, went to catch the tail end of my daughters game, came home and they was done to perfection!

Flashback Bob,[p]I cook salmon indirect and place it directly on the BGE grate. I usually either brush the fish with EVOO or spray the grate with a little oil. I run the dome temp at about 325-350 and depending on the thickness of the salmon it takes about 10-12 minutes.[p]I never have a problem with salmon flaking apart or sticking to the grid.[p]If you don't have the plate setter you can do salmon direct, but it is hard to get a thick steak done through without getting the outer parts a little dry and hard.

    Flashback Bob,
latitudinal section (that's architect-speak!)? you can grill them direct. just don't panic and flip when they are stuck.[p]if they are stuck, they aren't ready to flip.[p]you already cooked them though, since you posted yer Q yesterday, so i bet you already know this.[p]where were you at soccer? gotta bag of hickory and grapevine with yer name on it[p]

  • stike,
We skipped the last soccer game due to a birthday party with a moonbounce. This game was the older daugfhter's softball team. They're in th playoffs, but she can't play due to a poorly timed broken toe. So we went to the game to keep her with the team even if it is just to ride the pine.
    Woo HOO! Grapevine too!
I'm cooking those salmon steaks today, and the pork chops and the scallops and I'm trying to make some texas toast too.[p]Hope it doesn't rain!
