If I want a make a couple of quick bubba burgers tonight should I thaw them out 1st. Usually you throw them on the grill frozen. Also sear at 700 degrees?[p]Thanks

Parrothead,
do not thaw first .. ..throw them right on the egg frozen. ..i wouldn't do them at 700 though ...i'd go more for the 400 - 450 range direct... just like on the stove, when you see the juices coming up out of the holes, turn em, then grill em a couple of more minutes till done to your liking ... .

Parrothead,
what is a bubba burger?
-
markkal123,
they are a brand of frozen burger. ..find em in the freezer section at the grocery (my safeway carries them) .. .come in three types, regular/sirloin/onion. . . .for a frozen burger, they are pretty damn good. ..

Parrothead,
I love these on the Egg. Throw them on frozen at 500 degrees 10 minutes each side.

markkal123,
A box of frozen burgers. They are actually pretty good.
Wobbly Pops to ya, Chris -
Parrothead,[p]I do these all the time and they are really good amd EASY.[p]I put on a platter and cover with Wooster and DP rub of choice on both sides. (You can use mustard instead of Wooster to help the rub adhere.)[p]You can sear at 600 or 700 for 3 minutes, flip, add cheese (Of course you can add a slice of tomato and some slices of cooked bacon along with the cheese if you like) and close all vents and cook for 5 minutes. This should give you some perfect, juicy burgers that are very simple.[p]

Parrothead,[p]Hmmmm. Funny enough, I'm planning the same thing for dinner.[p]My first attempt at Bubba's didn't go exactly well. As they thaw, they sort of fall apart unless the temp is high enough to get them to start to "firm up". I was doing Veggie burgers for the wife at the same time, so I didn't want to crank the heat. When I went to flip the first time, the burger just sort of disintegrated. The second one was must better. I think I'm getting the hang of it.[p]They drip juice lik crazy though. I needed a drip pan under mine.

mad max beyond eggdome,
With that name, they'd have to be good. : - )[p]They're actually made about 60 miles west of me. In fact, made in the town nearest to where all the Georgia fires are.[p]For processed burgers, they are really pretty good. [p]I cooked some regular (hand pattied ground beef from Publix) burgers on the egg last night. They were as good as any I've ever had. [p]Guess you could call those Bubba Burgers too. But they weren't the processed ones. Just cooked by ol Bubba. ; - )
