Question about injecting pork butts.

Hi all,[p]I did a couple of pork butts that I tried injecting. I rubbed the butts about 4 hours prior, wrapped them in plastic, and shot both with about 10 oz. solution. Then wrapped them with another layer of plastic. One, which was the hardest to inject, held most of the solution while waiting to go one the Egg. The other lost at least half, melting of much of the rub in the process, and making a mess when unwrapped.[p]Is there a way to keep them from leaking? Does the meat need to be quite cold? It was just refridgerator 38 degrees. Does it vary from piece to piece?[p]F.W.I.W., both came out good, not much different from non-injected, altho the mix I used was rather bland. The Egg smiled on me, and when I checked twice during the night, It was at 247 for 9 hours. The largest took 15.5 hrs.[p]gdenby[p]
