Good results is its own reward when it comes to cooking for yourself but when you spend two days and most of two nights cooking for someone else you hope they enjoy it. And they did.[p]The brisket, pulled pork, bbq beans and abt's Spring Hen and I cooked for her boss turned out fantastic. We delivered all of it to his house still warm from cooking where his wedding guests immediately tore into the abt's. They loved them of course and asked the usual questions: how do you make them?, can they be cooked on a gas grill?, what does ABT stand for?, etc.[p]We came home and by 6:00 PM I was taking that long awaited nap only to be awakened by Spring Hen saying someone wants to talk to you. I groggly took the phone and heard her boss say, "Listen to this..." followed by a background chorus of "THE FOOD IS GREAT LEROY." [p]I went back to sleep with a grin on my face and a smile in my heart.[p]Spring "Appreciated Is The Finest Reward" Chicken

Great job Leroy - you are as stubborn as a Spring Mule!!! I woulda pooped out hours before you![p]So what did you tell them when they asked what ABT stood for? I'm assuming you told them the truth, right? :)

    AlaskanC,
Of course I told them the truth. They immediately reached for more LOL. I suppose they like buffalo...[p]Yes, I poped out at 6:00 PM but now I'm wide awake at 2:30 AM. I probably tied my carcadian rhythm in knots but I'll take another nap between now and daylight.[p]Spring "Wide Eyed And Bushy Tailed" Chicken

Morning Spring Chicken:[p]I know what you mean, Leroy! We hosted the wedding rehearsal dinner at our house and fixed the hot food (see post below). About half of the crowd were my son's friends who have had egged food in the past so they what was coming, but the rest were a bit amazed that everything else came off a "grill" (especially the corn souffle). I cheated a little bit in that I did the pulled pork a couple of weeks ago and foodsavered it for last night. It still tasted like it had just come off the egg though.[p]Sounds like we both did good yesterday![p]Have a GREAT (and restful) day!

    SSN686,
Well Jay, it looks like we should be in the wedding catering business LOL. But that sounds more like "WORK" instead of "FUN."[p]It's a good thing I don't have to do this often or I would have to get me an Extra Large Egg.[p]Have a nice day.[p]Spring "In The Mood For Retired Mode" Chicken
