Beer Chicken Question

JFol,[p]The recipe you refer to is cooked direct. A great meal. Enjoy.[p]Spin

JFol, If cooking at 350 or above I would go indirect with some sort of barrier or drip pan with a liquid to act as a heat reservoir..or heat sink. Some have done it direct also but stay at a lower temp and take your time.

JFol,[p]Another thing to consider, if you use a real beer can instead of a ceramic chicken sitter, be really careful if you don't use a drip pan. The beer can is not very stabile, and if it turns over, the beer will soak your charcoal before you can stop it.[p]Brant
