Drip Pans?
After five years of brotherly envy, imagine my suprise on Pops day to recieve my medium size BGE!! Wat to go Mom! [p]I cranked that sucker up for dinner last night. We eased into the program with a simple choice of dry rub chicken. Nothing simple about the result.......they were outstanding![p]Now to my question - I put them direclty on the rack and then afterwards allowed the egg to heat up and burn off the scraps. [p]When is it best to use a drip pan?[p]Also.....what would be gained by upgrading to a large?[p]I'm sitting here Monday morning wondering what I can "Egg" for dinner tonight. I'm hooked!

Miracle Egger,
Drip pan. For low and slo cooks ie: butts, brisket, etc.[p]Upgrade to a large will give you a little more room on the cooking grid, also the ability to use the plate setter.[p]Welcome to the family!

Miracle Egger, I can't imagine having scraps left on the grill. I pick those off as the chef's sampler!
