Bonding a piece back to the egg

Does anyone know if I can bond a broken piece of the egg which broke due to being hit on the side. The piece has a clean break and is about 4in. by 16 in. It is located just below where the top meets the bottom section.

Looking at vaious high temp ceramic bonding agents, but concerned about use in a food environment.

Appreciate any advice.

Robert Mann,[p]There's a product called JB Weld that I and other eggers have used to repair broken plate setters and other ceramic egg parts. You should be able to get it at Lowe's or whatever hardware store you frequent.[p]Ottawa_egger

I've used a product I found at Lowes. I think it was by GE and labeled "high temp furnace cement". It held my ran cap together until my daughter broke it again :>)[p]You might want to Call Atlanta and see how much the bottom half would be to replace. Never hurts to ask.[p]H

dhuffjr,[p]Thanks for the Lowes tip. Would like to give the quick fix a try and then see about replacing the bottom half of the egg.

I used JB to fix a firebox it has held for at least 150+ cooks. The mothership sent me a replacement, which is sitting in my garage.
