my first tri-tip - lots of pics

thanks to celtic wolf, i had my first whole tri-tip tonight ... it was very, very good indeed. .. .rubbed it with some olive oil, kosher salt, and dizzy cowlick ... .did a standard t-rex on it . .[p]here it is, all dressed up and ready for the egg. ..

IMG_0952.jpg[p]after a 10 minute rest under foil. ..it sliced beautifully.. . nice thin slices produced a very tender "chew"[p]IMG_0953.jpg[p]i served it with fresh corn and my pancetta/mushroom mix. .. [p]IMG_0954.jpg
IMG_0955.jpg[p]everyone agreed it was very, very good ...the four of us left no leftovers .. ..[p]looking forward to ribs, corn, tomatoes for mothers day dinner tomorrow (yep, my spouse actually asked for ribs for dinner) ...
