Rick's Tropical Delight,
How come the brownies keep popping up? LOL I'm ready to cook a steak and now I want dessert first. John

egg-dcited,[p]When I'm cooking for someone the first time I typically do Dizzy Dusted pork tenderloins with raspberry chipotle sauce. This gives them an introduction to Dizzy rubs and the magic of the Egg in one bang with a very easy, inexpensive cook. It ALWAYS works to draw them in for more . . . [p]TRex

[p]For a beef dish, this is a close one, it would be burnt ends or prime rib.[p]
[p]
[p]If they know barbecued pig, or you want to introduce it to them, pulled pork is the way to go, unless you think ribs would hit a home run.[p]
[p]
[p]For seafood, planked salmon gets my vote.[p]
[p]Now if you just want to show off playing with fire, grill a steak.[p]

Baby backs. Or pulled pork. While egg is cooling down. Cut some pears in half, get a melon baller to get a nice little hole in the middle. Fill with pat of butter and cover in brown sugar. Takes about 20 minutes.[p]Mike

thirdeye,
Can you tell me more about the planked brie? Maybe the toping and how to cook it? [p]Every time I try brie it seems to melt down.[p]Every thing looks great![p]Thanks in advance.[p]Mike

Mike, [p]That's what we do best here. Share what we know and learn from other folks. I have a page on my cookin' site dedicated to Chubby's famous brie. Below is the direct link to the how-to.[p]~thirdeye~[p]

maybe monkey bread!?[p]i think the best way to show off the egg would be to show how versatile it is by cooking a meat, either low n slow, or roasting or whatever, then baking either bread or the dessert with the leftover heat... it's beautiful!
