Mini egg and chicken

Then a treat just for for me, a Chicago style hot dog from Klemments. I eat'em at Miller Park when I go to a ball game in Milwaukee. Go Brewers!

[p]Next was a plump game hen and oh yeah, Shaken the Tree seasoning on this baby.

Just like the large only small scale, 350 dome for 1.5 hours. Enough chicken for two and a really good time cooking on the mini.

ClayQ,
Great post! The mini has much potential. I can't wait for more time to eggsperiment on mine.
You're making my lunch tuna sandwich sound not so good.
-
hayhonker,
Now I gotta build a table for the mini..... There was some posting awhile back about cooking a whole chicken on the mini so that got my attention and here is the results, he he.
Thanks and have a great weekend!

ClayQ,I see you are using a drip pan? How did you do that?
-
ClayQ,
could you please clarify for me. are those game hens or chickens? if cheicken, is it a roaster or something smaller? do you know the weight?
-
markkal123,
Game hen, 26 oz., juicy, tender, delicious, nice crisp to the skin in places. I like those little fat ones.
-
ClayQ,
Dang how'd I miss that.
-
ClayQ,
thanks. ilove doing spatchcock ckicken on my large. currently considering a mini or a small. your pics do a lot to help with getting a feeling for the size of the mini. [p]of course, any thoughts you want to share about your mini are appreciated.
-
hayhonker, Man!! I missed that one too. Guess I have to have one. Probably go through the Mother Ship, because the dealiers in Cinci don't know much. Last year they told me the small egg was discontinued!!
-
Saucy Sue, no, there isn't one. Clay post once before that he cut the platesetter himself from a pizza stone using a grinder. Made quite a mess, but look at the result.

RJH,
OH.
He wasn't kidding about 'made my own'. very cool
-
hayhonker,[p]Well..... I might be the only 'lucky dog' with a mini plate setter made from a pizza stone. Where there's a will there's a way.
-
hayhonker, Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh well, I could never do that, but it is really cool!!
-
ClayQ,[p]You rat!! After seeing some of your earlier posts, I he-hawed around all last summer about buying a mini or not. I didn't. I had all but forgot about it until now. Summer is again upon us and you planted the seed for the second time.....Agggrrrr.[p]~thirdeye~
