stoker or guru???

I am thinking about a guru type system. I want to spend no more than $250. I want to be able to monitor temps of at least 2 pieces of meat and the grate temp. Can the guru do this or am I limited to only the stoker?? Also, does anyone out there have a stoker and wish they had bought the guru or vice versa?
