1/2 Chicken,[p] Out of the nest.. probably using Grillmeister's carrier.[p]I don't hava a picture of it, but I do have the dimensions. I am in the process of building 5 of them for that very purpose.[p]

Celtic Wolf,[p]I totally agree, that carrier works great. Put my large in one of those, and went camping, including about 30 kilometers of less than ideal gravel logging roads. Egg made it there and back, no problems. The internals were taken out of it to prevent rattling and damage.

FV-Egger,
We just got back from Florida and took our egg with us! We were there for a month and there was no way we were going to be with out it for that long. I had to laugh, we also tow our car down behind our truck. It is a AC Cobra repclia. It is bright Blaze orange. I wanted to strap the big green egg in the drivers seat with the 5 point harness. LOL Hubby wouldn't do it. He was afraid we would get it in there and not get it out. It would have been a great picture though. Anyways, we took the guts out and set it in the back of our truck and strapped it in. Never moved. we packed blankets around it and boxes around them and everything was fine. Next year we are flying down and we have already decided we will be ordering an egg to have at our place down there. We love our egg! Julie

Celtic Wolf,[p]What is Grillmeister's carrier? Some sort of crate?
-
1/2 Chicken,
I took mine to a competition a few weeks ago almost three hours away. I took out the insides and strapped it in my truck. One thing I would do different is use that travel container Celtic Wolf talked about and put a stepping stone under it so when the contest is over I can easily load. I did not get done cooking until about 1 hour before the judging so clean up and getting ready to go took a little cool down. The large is not the easiest to move around.
