Last night I held a class at Hearth & Patio in Peoria, IL for 16 new and "hopefully will become" eggers. I tried to show a variety of food results from the eggs and I believe everybody went home full. Again I thank all for coming and I already have plans for another class sometime in the future. Otherwise the next class on May 24 will be a repeat of last night's aimed more at new owners.

    Wayda go, Teach! Congratulations![p]Ken

  • RRP,[p]The class was eggcellent! I learned a few things and the food was great! Let me know if you could use a hand for future classes. I got back to Mahomet late, but it was worth the drive![p]Look forward to an advanced or follow up class.[p]Smoke Diver

    egret,
well - seeing that the class was only scheduled to run for 2.5 hours but actually ran to 3.5 I had to egg some things in advance, but here goes...[p]Began with 5 different smoked cheeses and fatties -(all egged at home)
then ABTs (premade but egged there)
then Monkey bread in clay pots (egged at home)
chicken wings (prepped and coated at home - egged there)
pulled pork (egged at home, but pulled hot there)
pizza (purchased from Nick & Willies - egged there)
steak (mini T-Rex due to lateness)
triple chocolate cake (egged at home)[p]I really had fun doing it! BTW I used two large eggs there.

    BlueSmoke,
Thanks Ken! Coming from a retired professional teacher like you that means something! Of course I had a class of adults so discipline wasn't an issue so I had it easy!!!
BTW your ears might be burning as I used several of your products last night!

    RRP,
Wow, that's quite an aggressive menu! That's a very unique way to demonstrate the egg. Your audience is already familiar with the egg and many are contemplating a purchase. When I do the demos at my dealer (an Ace hardware store) I'm catching people "cold', many of whom have never even heard of the BGE. Thanks for that post, Ron. Much appreciated...........got my wheels turning!!

  • RRP,
Congrats! Sounds like a very good first showing.
