formergolfer,[p]Welcome aboard. That is a regular question around here. My standard answer is pork steaks. Below is a link to an earlier reply to the same question that explains why I recommend them. In that post is another link that will take you to my cookin' site. About 2/3 of my how-to's were cooked on an Egg.[p]There are also 2 recipe sections on this site. One is called "Recipes" the other is "New Submissions". The archives are full of posts to get some good ideas too. It's a good place to get a feel for techniques used by others, and answers to questions that you have not thought of yet.[p]~thirdeye~

formergolfer,[p]Think of chicken drumsticks, wings, roasted chicken all pretty easy. I've included a link to the Dizzy Pig site and their recipe section.[p]Rule of thumb; anything you can do in your oven translates easily to your Egg.[p]I'll take a look around my files to see what I can send you.

    formergolfer,
if your looking for learning experiences, i would start with the spatchcock chicken, simple cook. then maybe some babybacks or ribs following one of the the foil methods. then a trex steak, then elderwards pork butt and then some gfw's jerkey. each of those cooks will teach you about setup and temp control, from there there isnt much you wont be able to do. maybe afteer doing all of those try a pizza, its important to get temp and the proper setups down and then its just to easy to cook in the egg. the best part is that those are some of the best cooks you can do and you learn the most from them at the same time

Peter,[p]You are climbing the ladder with all of the post you're doing lately. It takes years sometimes for some people to even get near the Kool-Ade! I'm in charge of 'watching' you and teaching you the handshake when the time comes. Hehehehe [p]
