edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
at the same time.[p]I have a large and a small BGE (with GrateMates) and would like to cook a large pork butt and a couple of racks of ribs to be ready at 5 or 6 o'clock on Sunday.[p]Any thoughts on how to time this right?

Egger,[p]When cooking an 8 or 9 pound butt I allow 15 hours including cooler time. At 8 or 10 hours into the cook I decide whether to ramp the pit temp up or down OR if I want to finish in foil.[p]Spare ribs (un-trimmed slab) 6 or 7 hours
Spare ribs (trimmed to St. Louis style rack) 5 or 6 hours
Baby back ribs 4 or 5 hours[p]If you have the grate extender you could cook the ribs above the butt. Or you could use both Eggs.[p]~thirdeye~

Egger,[p]I think I'd do the Butt (up to about 9 lbs) on the Small, and do your Ribbers on the Large![p]Evans
I spent most of my money on good bourbon, and bad women...the rest, I just wasted!!
