any last minuite steak seasoning advise. got a prime aged NY strip and Ribeye about to get put on egg

we do a little salt on it as it warms on a plate. some olive oil if we remember to. pepper afterward[p]

Don't last minute those. EVOO, kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper for 1 hour at room temp.

It may be too late for this piece of meat but in the future you might try Nebraska Steak Salt. It's made by the Manheim Steamroller group and is the best beef seasoning I've ever tried. I like to season my steaks a few hours before I put them on the egg. Really lets the seasoning penetrate but doesn't overpower the taste of the steak.

Good advise to follow next time. Got the beef and wanted to get to cooking right away.

Thirty minutes to an hour before cooking, I put a little tenderizer (no MSG), Lawry's seasoning salt, coarse ground pepper, lemon pepper and Worchester sauce on the steak. Occasionally put a little Montreal Steak Seasoning, but honestly, it's just as good without.[p]May not be something you like, but everyone around here seems to have a pretty good appetites when I cook steaks. LOL [p]
