Beer butt chicken medium egg

Did my first Beer butt chicken yesterday (day 364 of egg ownership), it turned out real well, but I was a little surprised at how little room was left in my medium after adding the 4.5 lb bird. I ended up setting the bird directly on an inverted plate setter to keep it from hitting the dome. I was wondering if anyone had some setup ideas for doing multiple beer butt chickens in the medium?
