i have an older egg and the top cast iron vent is not fastened
. what adhesive is best to secure it? lw

    The cast iron vent is just that...a vent...not a permanent piece..unless I misunderstood your question...once you are done cooking on the egg you replace the cast iron "daisy wheel" with the ceramic rain cap to extiguish the coals.[p]Wess

    WessB,[p]I agree with you.[p]Lee,[p]If you want your "daisy wheel" to fit more tightly on the chimney make a "gasket" with some rolled up aluminum foil. [p]Jay[p]
