Rick's Tropical Delight,
there should be no problem with cooking with new, clean clay pots. you can get them at any good kitchen shop if you don't trust the garden centers.
-
P.S. "Martha" has been doing it for years
-
Julie,
then it's only fitting as my egg's name is martha!

Rick's Tropical Delight,
I've been baking dinner rolls in flowerpots for over 10 years with no concerns or issues. Definately no exploding pots! I wish I could claim the idea, but I got it from a restaurant in Georgia. [p]BTW, try using pizza dough to make monkey bread.
-
Michael B,
I saw that in the original post that RTD linked. Gonna give that one a go. [p]I'm thinking doing it in a loaf pan would work too.
-
dhuffjr,
For monkey bread? Probably better in a loaf pan, or three. My kids can go through a lot of it in a day.
