I have decided to use the Puz's (sp) recipe for my smoked turkey. Do you guys think it would matter if I used brown sugar in the brine in place of the regular sugar that the Puz's recipe call for?[p]To all of you going to Eggfest...hope you enjoy immensely. I could not make Atlanta's this past year as I had planned due to the premature birth of my granddaughter. Maybe this year![p]Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Sandi,
I think that the brown sugar will work just fine. The brown sugar will add more flavor than regular sugar. I do not know how much sugar you need, but you could mix both sugars in the recipe.[p]Hope this Helps,

RhumAndJerk, I agree, thats all I use (brown sugar)in brines. If using white sugar, add a tbs of mollassas to the mix. Thats what makes white sugar into brown sugar. :-)
    Cheer's...
